Who is that Divine Person sitting in the cave of my heart, where my eternal spiritual spark, atomic in size, called soul, resides?
yasyāṁśāṁśāṁśaḥ parātmākhilānāṁ
poṣṭā viṣṇur bhāti dugdhābdhi-śāyī
kṣauṇī-bhartā yat-kalā so ‘py anantas
taṁ śrī-nityānanda-rāmaṁ prapadye
“I offer my respectful obeisances unto the feet of Śrī Nityānanda Rāma, whose secondary part is the Viṣṇu lying in the ocean of milk. That Kṣīrodakaśāyī Viṣṇu is the Supersoul of all living entities and the maintainer of all the universes. Śeṣa Nāga is His further sub-part.” [CC Adi 1.11]
DON’T BE SCARED TO ACCEPT NITAI AS THE SUPERSOUL
Gaur Krishna is the ultimate origin of everything but that does not mean He does everything Himself. He first expands as Nitai Balaram and entrusts Him to create everything else. So seeing Nitai Balaram as origin of the Supersoul in our heart is the actual truth and giving the real credit to the one who is the Supersoul. Of course we can accept Gaur Krishna as the origin of the Supersoul because He actually is. But deliberately not accepting to see Nitai Balaram as the origin of the Supersoul and instead thinking of only Gaur Krishna as the Supersoul, may appear to Gaur Krishna that we are trying to bypass His dearmost expansion and devotee and trying to come to Him directly which He may not like at all as stated in the Adi Purana i.e. “My direct devotees are not my devotees but the devotees of my devotees are my highest devotees.” Normally, a devotee may not want to understand the diversity in unity and may not want to accept anyone other than Krishna in the beginning stages because it may feel like affecting his or her faith. But as one advances, one realizes the subtle intricacies that Radha’s or Gaur’s bhajan is even higher than Krishna’s bhajan and Nitai Balaram is actually the original cause of this creation including of the Supersoul because Gaur Krishna Himself made Him so. It only increases the love for Gaur Krishna of an advanced devotee instead of losing faith, to know that His expansions excel even Him in function and beauty because He wants that His devotees to be more glorified than Him. If His expansions are so great, how great He must be!
