What Srila Prabhupada actually desired regarding initiations after his disappearance – Shocking news!

It is absolutely shocking to know that this secret has been kept for more than 40 years! Now that most people are brainwashed to take one of the two sides: ISKCON GBC bogus guru system, or ritvik bogus system regarding taking so-called initiations from them, the brilliantly shining truth comes to the light of the day – Srila Prabhupada did appoint two pure devotees to perform initiations after his departure! Unfortunately, his divine plan was obstructed by his closest Western disciples who couldn’t wait to become ‘guru’ after Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance. It is easy to understand ill motives (envy) that close Srila Prabhupada’s disciples felt. They thought: “Who are these two Indian men? We did so much service to Srila Prabhupada and the movement!” So they kept it secret, covering the truth, taking over the Movement, destroyed everything Srila Prabhupada build, covering each other, just like the ordinary criminals do.

In light of what actually transpired, it’s been pretty turbulent after Srila Prabhupada’s departure…

From Bhagavat Maharaja
(Srila Prabhupada’s diciple)

You all basically have the story correct. Srila Prabhupada asked Tamal to call the GBC together to discuss choosing one of two of His disciples who would do all the initiations. Tamal promised to convene the GBC members to discuss who those two persons would be.

After a day Srila Prabhupada asked what the progress was and Tamal said they had not met yet. Then again in a day or so Srila Prabhupada asked if they had met and discussed and Tamal said no. At this point, Srila Prabhupada offered to give Tamal an idea of who Srila Prabhupada thought would be the best two persons to do the initiations.

Tamal asked Srila Prabhupada to please give him the names. Srila Prabhupada said either Radha Govinda Maharaja and Gour Govinda Maharaja or both. Tamal externally was composed but he was livid that these men would be chosen over the disciples who had helped him build the mission. Tamal never understood it was about the purity of consciousness, not the number of man-hours a person had worked for Srila Prabhupada.

After a couple of days, Srila Prabhupada inquired again from Tamal if the GBC convened and discussed the matter and appointed one or two persons to give the initiations. Tamal said no. At this point, Srila Prabhupada knew what their intentions were and he said “oh now everything is finished”.

Bhakti Caru Maharaja was there for all these conversations. He related all of this to his childhood friend who was also a devotee and was in Vrindavan with him at the time happened. This story was related to me by that childhood friend of Bhakti Caru Maharaja.

I had always hoped that Caru Maharaja would have the courage to come forward and tell the truth of what happened but he did not and now he has expired.

“Yes I wrote this. The grammar is a little off but basically that is what happened as I heard it from Sarva Bhavana”

“Two of my disciples should initiate”

Toward the end of 1977, the topic of who would give initiations within Iskcon, after he had left, was raised with Srila Prabhupada.

Srila Prabhupada himself expressed that he wanted the many senior GBC devotees, who were also present in the room at that time, should be involved in managing his society, but he wanted that two of his disciples should, themselves, accept disciples, after his own departure. These two disciples he named as Sri Srimad Gour Govinda Swami Maharaja and HH Sri Radha Govinda Swami Maharaja.

Furthermore, this conversation, with Srila Prabhupada, has not been revealed, before. Unfortunately, after Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance, many tape-recordings of his later conversations mysteriously vanished. This possibly included a tape of the above discussion – some say that more than 40 tapes, from the last couple of months, went missing. There are still tapes not yet released to the ‘public’ by the Bhaktivedanta Archives.

I should also add here that the original, very reliable source of this story was a disciple of Srila Prabhupada, who was present in the room at the time the above conversation took place. He apparently said that if this information was made public – and his name mentioned – he would deny it, totally.
